Job Description

SCOPE:

We are seeking a Construction Lead/Inventory Manager to provide support to the Construction and Refurb Team as new homes are scheduled for delivery and delivered and to manage the renovation process of used homes. This position will be instrumental in providing stellar customer service and ensuring timelines for deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with vendors and Construction Manager to meet deadlines.
  • Corresponds with construction team including City/County building/permit departments to resolve any and all questions and concerns; updates construction manager with all status updates for projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring sites are ready for new home deliveries with utility hookups.
  • Coordinate logistics for home deliveries and implementation; accept all new homes and ensure the home is on lot correctly per the site plan; ensure the delivery certificates are submitted to inventory admin and manufacture.
  • Ensures the walkthroughs are completed and sent to the factory within 10 days of the home being set.
  • Work directly with vendors and Construction Manager to ensure set up procedures are completed to code and within timelines.
  • Work directly with Construction Team to complete home setup and make it ready for occupancy.
  • Weekly reports to be submitted to Construction Manager with updates on the progress of new home sets.
  • Escalates issues to the appropriate manager and construction team.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Operations Team to achieve and maintain inventory levels
  • Walk inventory homes and create a scope of work to renovate the home to Lakeshores standards for an occupiable status
  • Ensure teams have supplies and materials available on-site in a timely manner
  • Work directly with the Refurb Team to ensure turn times are met.
  • Communicate scheduling using web-based program and/or Excel
  • Completes special projects as assigned by the manager.
  • Manage staffing of 5-7 direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred;
  • At least one year of experience in construction, construction administration, project management, community management and/or related field;
  • Experience in General Construction/ Home Repairs preferred
  • Demonstrated project planning and coordination experience;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Proficient in office productivity application; Excel, Google Sheets, Smart Sheets and Outlook
  • Valid U.S drivers license;
  • Energetic and positive with a sharp eye for detail;
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Flexibility to travel minimum 50% of the time, some weekends may be required.

COMPENSATION: $55,000 – $65,000/yr. (Based on experience)
